DAV Tirsuli II Expedition

The Tirsuli II is at 7035m one of the remaining unconquered seven thousanders in northern Indian Garhwal Himal, a remote part of the Himalayas near the Tibetan border. Tirsuli II has remained unconquered. In 1968 an Indian expedition failed and in 1995 the well-known English Himalayan mountain climber Roger Payne also failed in his attempt to reach the peak across the western ridge.

ON 25th May 2001 the first attempt from Camp 2 (6,500m) should be made to reach the peak.
